Diplomatic Legal Hub Coordinator Scott Jacobsen Presents Platform Achievements at Austrian Embassy Meeting in Kyiv

Kyiv, Ukraine — Scott Jacobsen, Coordinator of the Diplomatic Legal Hub, held a high-level meeting in Kyiv where he delivered a comprehensive presentation on the platform’s work and its ongoing engagement with international institutions supporting foreign nationals in Ukraine during the full-scale war.

The presentation outlined the key achievements of the Diplomatic Legal Hub, particularly in strengthening communication channels between Ukraine and international organizations tasked with protecting the rights and safety of foreign citizens amid wartime conditions. Special attention was given to the platform’s role in facilitating dialogue, legal coordination, and information exchange in a complex and evolving geopolitical environment.

Following the meeting, Jacobsen expressed his appreciation to the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Ukraine and Ambassador Robert Müller for the invitation to participate in a breakfast discussion.

“It was a privilege to meet Ambassador Müller and to engage in a substantive exchange on Austria–Ukraine relations, the Embassy’s priorities, concerns among the Austrian public, Ukrainian public sentiment, regional press freedom and corruption, and the broader European context in which this relationship continues to evolve,” Jacobsen noted.

The discussion also addressed the importance of maintaining diplomatic dialogue during critical periods for Ukraine and the broader international community. Participants emphasized that sustained international cooperation and adherence to shared principles remain fundamental to ensuring stability and peace.

“Diplomatic relationships are sustained through continued dialogue and a shared commitment to the principles foundational to international cooperation, upon which peace so often depends. At a consequential moment for Ukraine, Europe, and the international community, these conversations matter,” Jacobsen added.

Jacobsen concluded by thanking Ambassador Müller and the Embassy team for their openness, engagement, and hospitality, reaffirming the Diplomatic Legal Hub’s commitment to supporting international collaboration and legal-diplomatic coordination during wartime.
